The Sea to Summit is not your traditional multisport race. This is an amazing day which combines the core elements of triathlon with the challenges of an adventure race. With assistance from your support designate, or porter, you’ll swim 1.2 miles, ride 95 miles then run and climb your way up the tallest mountain in the Northeastern United States. Serious athletes only need apply.

This is not a race for beginners. Required for entry into Sea to Summit is the completion of a non-abbreviated 140.6 (“Ironman”) triathlon in 13:49 or less, or a 70.3 distance triathlon in 6:19 or less. These qualifying events must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2018. Prior Sea to Summit racers who finished within the race’s time limits are pre-qualified. The race directors do (rarely) allow entries for athletes who have completed other recent races of similar difficulty if they are convinced the athlete likely has the ability to reach the checkpoints before the cut-off times (see the Race Details page). But you must contact us beforehand! Athletes must be 18 years of age or older.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities — and we couldn’t agree more!
A wonderful element of Habitat’s process is that they truly partner with families in need of an affordable home to build one of their own. Habitat homes are underway throughout New England and the U.S. We are pleased to assist them in this pursuit.
